SUNKEN HEAD a collaboration with Jay Ryan
I don't get to collaborate as much as I'd like. I'm either alone in my bubble creating personal work, directing a team to execute my vision, or being directed to bring someone else's vision to life. So when I was in Chicago last month with a few hours to kill before my flight home, my dear friend Jay Ryan asked me if I wanted to head over to his studio and work on a drawing together. Of course I said YES. In between bites of hot dogs and slurps of chocolate cake shakes, we created the line drawing for this print. Jay scanned it while I sat in an airplane hurdling West and over the subsequent month, we bounced a Photoshop file back and forth adding layers of color and detail to the image, adding bits to the image and seeing if the other person would notice (nice work on the tiny little flies Jay!). Not only is it fun to work on something with a friend, it was an opportunity to glimpse into Jay's thought and working processes.
The result is this 16"x20" print, consisting of 8-screens, masterfully printed by Jay and his team at The Bird Machine. Edition size 120. Get one here until they're gone.

Mondo Gallery presents HOUSE PARTY
I'm in a huge group show at Mondo Gallery in Austin next month. Every piece is $200. The show opens Friday, March 18 at 7pm.

We're excited to announce our second gallery show opening during SXSW 2016: “House Party.” The exhibition features more than 200 pieces of original artwork for $200 each. With contributions from over 100 artists, it’s the largest lineup for a Mondo Gallery exhibit to date and features tremendous talent.
The show will kick off with a reception open to the public, on Friday, March 18, 2016 from 7pm to 10pm and will be open Tuesday through Saturday from 12pm to until Saturday, April 2, 2016. Mondo Gallery is located at 4115 Guadalupe Street in Austin, TX.
"We really wanted to do something huge for our fans this time around, so we asked over 100 artists to contribute original art for $200. We've been blown away by the quality of what has come in. This one might be pretty big,” said Mondo Co-Founder/Creative Director Mitch Putnam.

Winter Circle - Group Exhibition at Flatcolor Gallery
I'm in a group show here in Seattle opening in just a couple weeks. Featuring OneSevenNine, Joe Vollan, Megon Shoreclay, Lucas Allen Cook, Nate Steigenga and myself.
“Winter Circle" is a group exhibition featuring local Seattle artists exhibiting affordable paintings and drawings as well as prints, shirts and other products.
Exhibiting Artists will be in attendance and have the opportunity to work on artwork during the Dec 3rd opening exhibiting not only their final work but also their process to gallery visitors during First Thursday Artwalk.
All art will be available for take away at time purchase at the opening and until the the exhibition ends.
The exhibition will run until the 12th of December.
Flatcolor will be closed the remainder of Dec. for winter holiday and renovationsand reopen in February 2016. All artwork will also be available online at Flatcolor.com for the entire month.
Sound Impressions at Seattle City Hall
